Wow, in a couple months winter will surely be a distant memory for me here in San Diego. Not that it gets all that wet and cold here like it does in my hometown of Boston, but the city surely seems to hunker down a bit. The main behavior I noticed is that not many people go to the beach or the shore when it is fifty-five to sixty degrees, and people like to wear parkas when it’s that temperature too. In Boston, if we should be deemed so lucky to come across that warmth in mid-winter we’d be off to the beach in sandals, t-shirts and shorts.

Over the past number of weeks I’ve been hearing a lot about this stimulus package, which is actually called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009, or simply ARRA09. There are going to be hundreds of billions of dollars being divvied out and reinvested through numerous agencies and groups. I’m not sure how I feel about it completely, but I can tell you I noticed a few nuggets that caught my attention. I don’t have all the details at this point, but I’m sure I’ll find them.
